Designer Charles Escott, inspired by life forms that thrive in watery habitats, captured the essence of the creatures in this jewelry collection. Since Tree Frog was recently introduced in the Smithsonian magazine, several new items were added to the collection. More items are in the design stage. The Pendants and Pins are wearable works of art in polished sterling silver and colorful, exotic stones and shells from around the world.

Each original, copyrighted design is carved in wax, creating a prototype, which is then cast in metal. This metal "master" is refined and used to create a mold. From the mold, wax forms are created and the jewelry piece is cast in sterling silver in a process known as the "lost wax" method.
